Studying is serious business.
So this is my first print ever. Up until now I've been working at exported resolution, meaning that everything I made is waaaay too small to look good printed. I thought it time to get into the print game though and this is my first one! I'm way more excited about it then I should be. And yes, I'm going to be making essentially everything printable from here on out. So yay tangible digital art! It's the one thing I missed about traditional after all, actually being able to hold my art.
So, on to the little notes I usually do on each piece. This one took a while. Clearly. I spent a lot of time trying to make something that I could be really proud of (as well as something people might consider actually, like, giving me money for). I think I got the values to look real nice, even if they still need a lot of work I'm using them the way they're supposed to be used! I think the magic is what gave me the most trouble though. Trying to make all that magic be light sources while also trying to keep it from distracting away from Twilight was not an easy task, and I still don't think I quite got it the way it truly should be. I'm at least happy with where I got it though!
Oh and one more little note, the books in the back each have a title. Most of them are shout outs for the guys at /r/mlpds, but I also threw in a couple just for fun. I think my favorite is "Sweetie Belle is Best Pony by B. Dude". Great book. You should give it a read sometime if you get the chance.
Anyways, have a studious Twi.
